Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Server to join our team! The Server is the face of our restaurant and plays an integral role in our customer’s dining experience. You will build rapport with customers, answer questions about the menu, take orders, and serve food and drinks. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, and has fantastic attention to detail.

You will build rapport with customers, answer questions about the menu, take orders, and serve food and drinks. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, and has fantastic attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Take food and beverage orders from customers
- Answer questions about the menu and preparation
- Review the menu and be knowledgeable about all food and beverage offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and available modifications.
- Ask every guest about food allergies or dietary restrictions before taking their food order.
- Clearly document all reported food allergies and dietary restrictions in the POS system and verbally communicate serious or significant allergies to the kitchen and manager before the order is prepared.
- Never make assumptions about whether a dish is safe for a guest with an allergy. When in doubt, verify the ingredients and preparation process with the kitchen or manager.
- Provide accurate orders to the kitchen staff
- Check with customers periodically during their meals to ensure they are satisfied
- Provide customers with their checks at the end of the meal and process payment
- Check on guests shortly after food is served to ensure everything is correct and to address any concerns promptly.
- Maintain knowledge of table numbers, assigned sections, and the status of tables throughout the shift.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with hosts, bussers, bartenders, managers, and kitchen staff.
- Follow proper service procedures, including timely clearing, resetting, and maintaining tables.
- Be aware of reservation and dining-time requirements and communicate appropriately with guests when necessary.
- Maintain a professional appearance and follow all restaurant uniform and grooming standards.
- Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally and involve a manager when necessary.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently while following all cash-handling and POS procedures.
- Maintain accurate checks and ensure all items ordered are properly entered and charged.
- Promote menu items, specials, beverages, and additional offerings when appropriate without being overly intrusive.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server is must
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and carrying trays
- Familiarity with food safety guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
